Abstract
On 26th April 2019, “Communities of Practice: Learning to make a difference together” workshop was held at Lingnan University. The speaker, Dr. Etienne Wenger-Trayner is a globally recognized thought leader in the field of social learning. In this professional development workshop, he delivered a keynote speech, joined a panel discussion and also conducted an interactive workshop to share his expertise on communities of practice (CoPs). 5 academics from the four UGC-funded universities also presented their insightful project findings and scholarly works in CoPs at the panel discussion session. About 40 academics and administrative staff from various universities and higher education institutes attended the event.
